Safeguarding

We take Child Protection very seriously!! Our Safeguarding Policy is available from the Church Office by request and is regularly updated. We have a brilliant Safeguarding Team, with an allocated Safeguarding lead in each area of Ministry in the church. Our team have a wide variety of experience, and include our Heads of Youth and Children's Ministry, teachers and social workers, who meet regularly to ensure Safeguarding is at the forefront of what we do. We are members of the multi award-winning Safeguarding organisation Thirtyone:eight.org, ensuring we stay up-to-date with the latest news and developments in Safeguarding, and sharing best practice. In our church, the children have their own secure rooms for their groups, with their own toilets. All our team members go through a recruitment process including gathering information, references, an enhanced DBS check and attending Safeguarding training.
