Aylesbury Vineyard is a church of ordinary people, from many walks of life. Our style is relaxed and informal. We’re serious about loving and worshipping God and serving our community but we try not to take ourselves too seriously!
If you’re exploring faith or looking for a Church in the Vale of Aylesbury to call your home, we’d love you to join us. Everyone is welcome, no matter what your background or experience.
There’s always a lot going on for all ages and backgrounds — including children, youth, families and 20s and 30s.
Every Sunday, we have two morning Services, starting at 11.15 am and 9.30 am. The Services are the same, apart from the start times and they last about 75 minutes.
On Sunday 25 August there will be no Service at Vineyard and we will join with other churches in the Aylesbury Church Network at Vale Park for ‘Church in the Park’.
Free self-service tea and coffee is available in the Auditorium from 9 am.
The Vineyard Café is open from 10.45 am until the start of the second Service, with more tea, coffee, free pastries and doughnuts. Doughnuts are a Vineyard tradition …
We always explain what’s going to be happening at the start of the Service, so don’t worry about not knowing what to do. Rest assured that no-one will single you out or make you do anything embarrassing!
We start with an uninterrupted time of about 25 minutes of contemporary worship, led by a live band. The words are projected on big screens — feel free to stand, sit, join in or just listen.
After that there are a few announcements, a short break for chocolates and chat and then a Bible-based talk that’s practical and relevant to everyday life. We always end with the opportunity to receive prayer for healing or other needs.
Straight after the morning Service ends, please spare a few minutes to say ‘hello’ to Steve and Lyn.
The Vineyard Centre
Free parking available directly outside the building.
Visiting any new group, and especially a new Church, can be very daunting! We try hard to make it as easy as possible. There are new people coming along every week, so you’ll be in good company.
Everybody who’s part of a Sunday team at Vineyard is very focused on making newcomers feel welcome and comfortable. The team will be glad to introduce you to people in the Church — perhaps of the same age, background or interests — answer any questions and show you where and when everything happens. But we also promise you won’t feel hassled — it’s absolutely fine to just sit quietly and take it all in by yourself!
Straight after the Service ends, please spare a few minutes to say ‘hello’ to Steve and Lyn or some of the other members of the pastoral team. They’ll be somewhere near the Connection Point banner to the side of the stage.
