Smile

The Smile ministry aims to encourage the church to think about fostering, and adoption as a way of supporting vulnerable children, and also to think how we as a church community can support those who do. It supports families and individuals exploring fostering, adopting and kinship care It promotes a welcoming community for those who are fostered, adopted or in kinship care It co-ordinates the church’s support for families who are fostering, adopting or kinship carers. We have a number of families who are already fostering, have adopted and are kinship carers. The Smile Team comes alongside them as a listening, praying ear but also helps coordinate practical help too where possible.

Become a Smile Supporter

We have a group of supporters who receive a regular newsletter to encourage them to pray into all these things and on occasion we can ask for some practical support – I wonder if you’ve ever thought about how you could help someone who is on the fostering or adopting journey, or if this was a journey you might take? Get in touch to sign up as a supporter!
